Maintenance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager who will lead, plan, and optimize all maintenance activities to ensure high equipment reliability, availability, and cost‑efficient operations at our Arandjelovac plant in Serbia .

This role requires a professional who understands the importance of preventive maintenance , predictive strategies, and reliability‑centered approaches, and who can guide the maintenance team through data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and leadership capabilities that support stable operations, minimize downtime, optimize lifecycle costs, and ensure safe and sustainable plant performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to ensure high equipment availability and performance
• Plan and execute short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance activities in alignment with production requirements
• Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance cost
• Ensure effective work order management and execution through CMMS tools
• Lead troubleshooting and failure analysis across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
• Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring failures and improve asset reliability
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness
• Collaborate with Production to balance maintenance activities with operational continuity and performance objectives
• Manage spare parts strategy, ensuring availability while optimizing inventory levels and costs
• Control maintenance budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities
• Promote a strong safety culture, including risk assessments, LOTO procedures, and safe execution of interventions
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams, building technical and problem-solving capabilities
• Coordinate contractors and external service providers to ensure efficient maintenance execution
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of maintenance performance, risks, and improvement actions

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical field).

Experience

• 4 to 7 years of experience in maintenance management. Prior experience in a supervisory position

Knowledge and skills

• Strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and industrial automation systems
• Deep understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in maintenance KPIs and performance monitoring
• Advanced problem-solving skills using RCA and failure analysis methodologies
• Ability to optimize asset reliability, lifecycle cost, and maintenance strategies
• Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools
• Solid understanding of maintenance–production interface
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and CAPEX planning
• Strong leadership skills to develop, engage, and structure teams
• Strong awareness of safety standards and maintenance risk management

Other requirements

• Excellent command of both oral and written local language is required, English is beneficial.
• Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial.
