Product Owner

Your Role & Responsibilities

• You will take functional and content-related ownership of a professional, international development team working on our web-based SaaS solution, healthMatch—an innovative healthcare solution.
• You will support and promote agile ways of working within the team using Scrum to drive the continuous development of healthMatch.
• You will create epics and user stories, define their acceptance criteria, and prioritize them based on business value, customer needs, and technical requirements.
• You will manage the team backlog in Jira, ensuring transparency and traceability.
• You will actively contribute to the product vision and product roadmap.
• You will identify market and customer requirements based on technical possibilities and the product vision, and regularly facilitate customer workshops as part of product conceptualization and development.
• You will work closely with project management, product management, designers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally in the healthcare sector.
• Technical understanding and background knowledge of software and application development.
• Fluent in German (written and spoken).
• Experience in requirements management/requirements engineering and an interest in working directly with customers.
• Experience applying agile methods and principles; you are familiar with Scrum and PRINCE2.
• Ideally, programming knowledge and experience with database systems and modern cloud-native environments, such as PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• A strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into product requirements.
• Willingness to meet and collaborate in person when needed, as well as to travel.
• An analytical, thorough, and solution-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions for the future of healthcare.
