At Thirdborn , we're expanding our Tech Services practice and looking for experienced technology professionals who want to work on complex international projects while being part of a growing, highly specialized team.

Our first opportunity is with one of Europe's leading digital gaming companies, where you'll join a strategic initiative focused on modernizing a large-scale cloud-native data platform that powers advanced analytics, AI, and automation across the business.

As a Senior Data Architect , you'll play a key role in defining enterprise-wide data architecture, shaping the future of modern data platforms, and enabling the next generation of AI-driven solutions within a global engineering environment.

What this role is about

Designing the Future Data Platform

You'll take ownership of the architecture behind a modern cloud-native data platform, designing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support both current business needs and future growth.

From defining data models and platform architecture to shaping lakehouse environments and cloud-native solutions, you'll play a key role in building a platform capable of processing massive volumes of data while remaining flexible, resilient, and cost-efficient.

Enabling Advanced Analytics & AI

You'll help create the architectural foundations that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI across the organization.

Working closely with engineering and data teams, you'll define how data is collected, processed, governed, and made available for real-time analytics, self-service reporting, and future AI initiatives, including MLOps and LLMOps capabilities.

Driving Engineering Excellence

You'll collaborate with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Architecture teams to establish modern engineering standards, scalable processing frameworks, and automated deployment practices.

By introducing best practices around cloud architecture, observability, automation, and platform reliability, you'll help accelerate delivery while ensuring long-term platform stability and operational excellence.

Data Governance, Security & Quality

As a senior technical leader, you'll help define governance standards that ensure data remains secure, trusted, and compliant.

You'll contribute to metadata management, data quality frameworks, security architecture, and enterprise governance practices while balancing innovation with regulatory and business requirements.

Technical Leadership & Strategic Direction

Beyond designing solutions, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor across the organization.

You'll facilitate architecture workshops, contribute to enterprise-wide technology decisions, mentor engineering teams, and work closely with senior stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Platforms
• Strong experience designing large-scale cloud-native data architectures
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS data services, Spark, Apache Iceberg, and Parquet
• Experience with batch and streaming data processing
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and observability
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and modern cloud infrastructure
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, MLOps, or LLMOps architectures
• TOGAF certification or experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks is considered a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with international engineering teams
