Social Specialist – Stakeholder Engagement, Outreach & Grievance Management

About the Position

Novo Global Services is seeking an experienced Social Specialist – Stakeholder Engagement, Outreach & Grievance Management for an upcoming infrastructure construction project in Serbia.

We are looking for a qualified professional with extensive experience in social risk management, stakeholder engagement, community outreach and grievance management, particularly within infrastructure and construction project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor social risks and impacts related to project activities

• Develop, implement and monitor stakeholder engagement activities throughout project execution

• Coordinate communication and engagement with affected communities, local stakeholders and relevant institutions

• Support and manage community outreach activities

• Implement and monitor the project's grievance management mechanism and ensure appropriate follow-up of grievances

• Maintain records of stakeholder consultations, grievances and related actions

• Support the preparation and implementation of social management plans, reports and related documentation

• Coordinate with project management, site teams, environmental specialists and other relevant parties on social matters

• Monitor compliance with applicable social requirements, project standards and contractual obligations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Law or a related field

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience

• Proven experience working on contracts in similar project environments

• Demonstrated experience in social risk management

• Experience in stakeholder engagement, community outreach and grievance management

• Experience in infrastructure and/or civil construction projects is preferred

• Strong communication, stakeholder coordination and reporting skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and international project team
