Software System Engineer

Quectel Wireless Solutions is a global IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier of 5G, LTE, LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Modules, C-V2X, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+), GNSS, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth technologies. Due to business expansion on the Serbian market and the growth of our R&D Centre, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our team in Belgrade.

ON-SITE, Monday - Friday with flexible start between 7:30 - 9:30 AM.

We are looking for: Software System Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design solutions.
• Participate in product design and development for projects such as TRACKER, SOUNDBOX, and SMART Meter.
• Conduct technical research, evaluate new technologies and architectures, and develop proof-of-concept solutions.
• Select and evaluate electronic components based on project requirements, technical specifications, and design guidelines.
• Analyze existing products and market solutions to identify potential improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers and address their technical questions and requirements.
• Collaborate with internal R&D, hardware, software, and product engineering teams to ensure successful project development and implementation.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test results, design specifications, and technical reports.
• Other tasks assigned by the immediate superior, in line with the employee’s position, qualifications, and scope of work.

Qualification requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a relevant engineering or product development role.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and electronic product development.
• Understanding of hardware components, component selection, and system architecture.
• Experience in technical research, product analysis, or proof-of-concept development is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken.
