Role Description This is a full-time, fully remote role for a Ukrainian to English Interpreter. The interpreter will provide real-time, accurate, and culturally sensitive interpretation during virtual calls and meetings, primarily in medical, legal, and business contexts. Daily responsibilities include listening carefully to Ukrainian speakers, conveying their message clearly in English, and interpreting English responses back into Ukrainian while maintaining confidentiality and neutrality. The role also involves preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, following established call center protocols, and documenting interpretation sessions as required. The Ukrainian to English Interpreter will collaborate with other remote team members, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Qualifications

• Strong language proficiency: native or near-native fluency in Ukrainian and English, with excellent grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in both languages.
• Professional interpretation skills: proven experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpretation, with the ability to maintain accuracy, tone, and intent under time pressure.
• Domain knowledge: familiarity with medical, legal, and business terminology in both Ukrainian and English, or willingness to learn and specialize through training.
• Technical capabilities: reliable high-speed internet connection, comfort using remote call center platforms and communication tools, and basic IT troubleshooting skills.
• Customer service and communication: strong listening skills, clear and respectful communication style, and ability to remain impartial and professional in sensitive situations.
• Work style and reliability: ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage full-time schedules, follow procedures, and maintain strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
• Education and experience: prior experience as an interpreter or translator is highly beneficial; relevant certifications or training in interpretation, linguistics, or related fields are a plus.
• Cultural competence: awareness of cultural nuances between Ukrainian- and English-speaking communities, and skill in conveying meaning in a culturally appropriate manner.
