We're looking for a Carrier Performance & Governance Manager who will take ownership of the entire carrier governance framework , from onboarding and performance management to strategic partnerships and continuous improvement.

This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure into complex environments, working with data, and influencing both internal stakeholders and external logistics partners.

What this role is about

Building Carrier Performance & Governance

You will own the governance framework for logistics partners throughout their entire lifecycle. From onboarding new carriers and establishing operational standards to monitoring service quality and driving continuous improvement, you'll ensure every carrier operates according to clearly defined expectations and performance standards.

Rather than managing transportation itself, you'll manage how transportation partners perform.

Performance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

You'll use data to understand what is working and what isn't.

By monitoring KPIs such as service levels, delivery performance, transportation costs, claims, and carrier scorecards, you'll identify trends, uncover improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions that improve both operational performance and cost efficiency.

A strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach will be essential.

Strategic Partnerships & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Success in this role depends on collaboration.

You'll work closely with Procurement, Operations, Finance, IT, Legal, and Quality teams while acting as the key governance partner for external carriers. You'll facilitate business reviews, support strategic planning, and help shape long-term partnerships with logistics providers.

Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence

You'll ensure carrier operations comply with internal standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.

Through structured audits, governance processes, and CAPA management, you'll proactively identify risks, resolve recurring operational issues, and strengthen overall supply chain resilience.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Procurement, or Carrier Management
• Experience managing carrier performance, logistics vendors, or transportation operations
• Strong analytical skills with experience using KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and performance reporting
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior external partners
