Environmental Specialist

About the Position

Novo Global Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist for an upcoming infrastructure construction project in Serbia.

We are looking for a qualified professional with extensive experience in environmental and social risk management, particularly within infrastructure and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of environmental requirements throughout project execution

• Identify, assess and monitor environmental and social risks related to project activities

• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements, project standards and contractual obligations

• Monitor environmental performance of construction activities and recommend appropriate mitigation measures

• Coordinate with project management, site teams, subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders on environmental matters

• Support the preparation, implementation and monitoring of environmental management plans, reports and related documentation

• Participate in site inspections and follow up on environmental compliance and corrective actions

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience

• Proven experience working on contracts in similar project environments

• Demonstrated experience in environmental and social risk management

• Experience in infrastructure and/or civil construction projects is preferred

• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and international project team
