We're looking for a hands-on Forward Deployment Engineer who can turn real business problems into reliable, production-ready AI solutions.

The Role

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and business operations.

Your responsibility is to understand operational challenges, design practical solutions, and build AI-powered systems that solve them.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role. You'll work closely with the founding team and business operations colleagues to develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and continuously improve AI agents and automated workflows.

We're looking for someone who can move quickly, work independently, and take full ownership of solutions from initial problem identification to production deployment.

What You'll Do

• Build and deploy AI agents: Develop AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive and complex business processes.
• Integrate systems: Connect AI agents with APIs, databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, and third-party platforms.
• Own end-to-end implementation: Translate business requirements into working technical solutions, from prototyping to production.
• Improve agent reliability: Debug failures, refine prompts, implement validation mechanisms, and improve accuracy.
• Work directly with operations teams: Understand how processes work in practice and identify opportunities for automation.
• Build quickly and iterate: Develop prototypes, test them with real users, and improve them based on feedback.
• Monitor production workflows: Identify bottlenecks, investigate errors, and ensure automated processes run reliably.
• Measure business impact: Focus on reducing manual effort, improving execution speed, and increasing operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Practical experience building AI agents, LLM-powered applications, or automated workflows used in real business environments.
• Experience working with LLM APIs and tools such as Claude, OpenAI, or similar technologies.
• Ability to integrate external APIs, databases, and business software.
• Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier is a plus.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, tool calling, agent orchestration, and AI output validation.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently and deliver working solutions without extensive supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, business-oriented engineering mindset.
• Comfortable working in an early-stage startup where priorities change and speed matters.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Availability for several hours of overlap with US Eastern Time.

• You've independently built AI agents that are actively used in production.
• You've automated business processes and can explain the measurable impact.
• You regularly use Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools.
• You've implemented safeguards such as confidence thresholds, human-in-the-loop reviews, automated tests, or monitoring.
• You can understand a business problem, propose a solution, and deliver a working implementation without waiting for detailed instructions.
• You enjoy building practical solutions more than discussing theoretical architectures.

Not for You If

• You prefer managing engineers rather than building solutions yourself.
• Your AI experience is limited to using ChatGPT for writing, research, or basic productivity tasks.
• You enjoy experimenting with AI but haven't deployed working solutions.
• You need detailed specifications and constant guidance before starting work.
• You prefer long development cycles over rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration.
