Company Description Shenchi Automotive Parts d.o.o. Kragujevac is part of Shenchi Shanghai, a global automotive supplier with over 30 years of experience and three plants originating from Shanghai Shenchi Industrial Co. Ltd. The company specializes in developing and manufacturing innovative automotive products, including seat frame assemblies, engine components, safety system parts, sunroof frame assemblies, chassis parts, and high-precision stamping dies. Founded on April 10, 2020, the Kragujevac site is Shenchi’s first investment outside of China. Its main activity is the production of car seat frames, safety components, and related products for the European market, offering opportunities to work with advanced manufacturing technologies in an international environment.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Materials Planner role based in Kragujevac. The Materials Planner will coordinate material requirements to support production schedules, ensuring timely availability of components and raw materials. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating production plans, issuing and tracking purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and resolving material shortages or delays. The role also involves close collaboration with production, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams, as well as data analysis to optimize inventory, reduce waste, and improve supply chain efficiency. The Materials Planner will maintain accurate records in ERP or planning systems and support continuous improvement initiatives in materials management and production planning.

• Communication with suppliers
• Following and controlling the stock of direct materials
• Following transit of direct materials
• Using the computer system, entering received materials, printing labels for them, taking data from system for analyses…
• Maintaining inventory schedules
• Coordinating with internal departments
• Managing external stakeholder relations
• Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
• Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
• Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
• Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Prepares reports and forwards them to the immediate manager

Qualifications

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional, international teams.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing is an advantage; working knowledge of English is beneficial.

Completed high school or higher

Experience in the same or similar position for at least 2 years
