Golang Developer

We’re looking for a Senior Go Developer to join the Uplatform team and work on high-load services built around a modern technology stack.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience in any programming language.
• 2+ years of commercial Go development experience with production-grade code. Strong knowledge of idiomatic Go, unit testing, and active participation in code reviews.
• Experience designing APIs with backward compatibility in mind. Solid understanding of distributed systems, including CAP, Saga, Outbox, and 2PC.
• Fluent Russian language skills.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with OLTP databases: schema design, migrations, and a solid understanding of replication and sharding. A proactive approach to caching.
• Metrics, alerting, distributed tracing, graceful shutdown, circuit breakers, and rate limiting are an essential part of your development practices.
• Understanding of zero-downtime deployments, Docker, and the 12-factor app methodology. Experience with profiling and identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Secure handling of secrets (Vault, Kubernetes Secrets) and a solid understanding of authentication and authorization.
• Ownership of your area of responsibility from development through deployment. Ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues and proactively contribute to the technical backlog.
• Ability to take business context into account, provide accurate estimates, highlight risks, justify technical decisions, and propose alternatives.
• AI as a daily development tool.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NATS.
• Additional experience with Kafka.
• Ability to design a service architecture from scratch based on a high-level problem description.
• Experience migrating legacy codebases to Go (we are currently migrating from PHP).
• Open-source contributions.
