Global Key Account Project Manager – Data Center (Back office)

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Global Project Manager for the Application Data Center in Europe.

You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of Lighting Systems within complex international Data Center projects, managing stakeholders, ensuring structured project execution across multiple regions and countries.

This includes key aspects such as:

• Project scope definition
• Timeline management
• Project financial management
• Attendance of project meetings (remote)
• Project documentation redaction (such as lighting designs, product data sheets, sustainability documentation (e.g., EcoVadis), technical specifications, installation concepts, project schedules, risk assessments, system schematics…)

Coordination of project engineering across the different internal resources. Coordination of commissioning activities. The position includes responsibility for coordinating assigned global Data Center projects as well as supporting the identification, qualification, and development of new strategic project opportunities in close alignment with the Head of Global Key Account Management – Industry Applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage international Data Center projects from sale through engineering, delivery and commissioning.
• Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, and objectives in alignment with customer requirements and tender specifications.
• Manage project financials.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including local sales organizations, Key Account Managers, lighting designers, product managers, technical experts, consultants, contractors, EPCs, and customer project teams.
• Monitor project timelines, dependencies, risks, and open actions to ensure timely and structured project execution.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven professional experience in project management, or a comparable role within International Constructions project environment.
• Technical, engineering, or project management oriented degree is considered an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement .
• Candidates with a background in electrical engineering, lighting, building technology, construction, project management, control systems or a related technical discipline are highly welcome.
• Equivalent professional experience of 5–10 years in global project business, or data center / infrastructure-related roles will be equally considered.
• Strong understanding of international datacenter project execution process.
• Experience managing complex international customer organizations , consultants, contractors, developers, operators, and senior decision-makers.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly desirable: Data Center, Critical Infrastructure, Electrical / Lighting Solutions, Construction, Industrial Manufacturing, Defence, or Automotive .
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional international teams without direct reporting responsibility.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of datacenter project environment.
• Ability to understand project specifications, technical solution concepts, and customer requirements with both internal experts and external stakeholders.
• Understanding electrical single-line diagrams and lighting control diagrams is preferred.
• Experience working with CRM systems, SAP, project tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications , particularly for pipeline management, reporting, and project coordination.
• Familiarity with project documentation, technical specification, and project-related commercial documentation is a must.
• Experience with lighting solutions, electrical infrastructure, building technology, or mission-critical applications is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and structured working style with the ability to combine technical understanding, commercial thinking, and strategic project development .

Languages

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, including negotiation-level communication.
• German and/or French and/or Spanish and/or Italian is considered an advantage.
